Worship Community
Our mission at the Abbotsford Vineyard Church (AVC) is loving God and loving people.
Our goal as a worship community in the Abbotsford Vineyard is the same – to express our love for God through music and other creative arts, and to love the people we serve (the congregation) and the people we work with (sound guys, musicians, worship leaders, etc.) by putting others before ourselves, and caring for one another.
Worship has been one of our main values since the founding of AVC. We thrive on an authentic encounter with God by using songs that help us articulate our love for Him. The music is always fun; we use both new songs (some written within our own church) and revitalized songs from the past. We are constantly looking for new ways to tell God that we love him – not only with our words but with our lives. What we’re saying is that while we love to worship through music, worshipping God is so much more than musical – it’s a way of life.
Interested in the worship bands?
We
are a fairly tight knit group of people that are honored to be serving
the church by leading worship. Because worship is one of our highest
values here at AVC, we thrive on making this an authentic
experience for both newcomers and veterans alike. We have regular
weekend bands that rotate throughout the course of the month. We
usually have at least one
audition a year for the slots that open up in these
bands. There are often people interested in
being on stage in a church like ours and we avoid involving people who just want to be in the spotlight. We want to involve people who have a heart for serving and a gift of worship. If you're interested in

| We try to communicate in a relevant way both to people attending and to God. The sound of our instruments intentionally changes and the arrangements evolve. Style changes but our hearts stay focused on Jesus. | |
